Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro is currently on the run after a warrant of arrest was issued against him. The legislator has been accused of assaulting police officer and resisting arrest after causing chaos at a harambee in Murang’a.
Nyoro and Maina Kamanda clashed at a catholic church in Kiharu where Kamanda was invited as the guest of honor. Nyoro came as the event was happening and warned Kamanda that he should be the one introducing the guests for he was the legislator in the area.
“I can’t allow people from Nairobi to come and take over my constituency as if they know this area,” Nyoro, said.
Kamanda however declined the demand saying that he was invited by the church for the purpose of conducting the fundraiser. This led to chaos that led to eventually stopping the service.
County Police Commander Josephat Kinyua made the situation worse when he tried to calm the situation but Nyoro’s supporters though he wanted to arrest him.
